I believe in the power of light!
For me, light is the language of photography. The shadows and highlights define the mood of an image. I love working with low light preserving details in the shadows and I adore working with high key preserving detail in the highlights. The transition between shadows and highlights become the accent of the piece, with the sharp edges yelling, soft edges whispering.
I love texture. Texture correlates to the level of credibility. I am not a fan of bright colors, I believe they overpower the subject, instead I want to focus my attention on the eyes and the expression of my subject, using Earth colors, black and off-white, to enhance the subject.
When I am behind the camera, I look for mystery, originality, uncertainty, simplicity, strength, symmetry, asymmetry, triangles, movement, and honest laughs.
I see the beauty in every human being. I have discovered that the eyes are the expression of the soul and there is magic, shape, strength, and deepness in expressions.
Every subject has its own magic.
I love change and challenge.

Thank you so very much for sending these photos – they are incredible – you are so very talented! I am so grateful for these photos, they are beautiful!! I would love to see you all again one day – who knows, maybe Dallas is in my future! I’ll also check with my brother about his wedding.
